History

Gordon Associates was founded in 1989 by Rod Gordon and Gordon Harrison as a specialist software house for the development of database applications. Today GA retains its expertise in database technologies - and also builds database applications which run on the Internet and provides services in the field of Business-to-Business eCommerce. We have developed bespoke applications and web-sites for manufacturing, financial, pharmaceutical, management consultancy, property and oil companies - and many others. GA is a privately-owned limited company based in Cheltenham in Gloucestershire. Forecast turnover for the current financial year is £1million.

Staff

We have fifteen permanent members of staff, who are multi-skilled with varying levels of seniority. Members of staff are educated to degree level and are experienced in the same suite of software tools – with a view to inter-changeability of personnel on projects. Our developers are trained in all aspects of software engineering from project co-ordination, requirements analysis to programming and system testing. We have the following levels of seniority within GA: Project Manager, Solutions Architect, Senior Developer and Developer.

Partnerships

GA is a Microsoft Partner with accreditations for the Data Management Solutions and Microsoft Dynamics CRM 'competencies'. To achieve this status Microsoft requires certain standards to be met and a number of staff to be Microsoft Certified Professionals (MCP). In order to become an MCP each member of staff has undergone a formal training programme in an area of specialisation followed by a rigorous examination set by Microsoft. The benefits of Microsoft Partner status are considerable for ourselves and our customers. Gordon Associates receives technical and marketing support from Microsoft in the development of our solutions. This status provides you the customer with the knowledge that our work is of a high enough quality to be authorised by Microsoft and that we have the backing of the leading organisation in the industry.

Advanced Secure Technologies Ltd

Advanced Secure specialise in the provision of secure certificates and certificate printing solutions. Their system, Digital Certificates, is offered as an extension to our own awarding body management system, Parnassus. Digital Certificates provides chip & PIN security so that only authorised staff can print certificates as well as encrypted certificate numbers, detailed audit trail, encrypted graphics images such as signatures, multi-layer dynamic certificate templates - and much more.
